This past weekend I was overrun with Type 1 diabetics. Chlo's dream really. It was a great experience for not only Chloe, but myself.
Over the past 2 months we have talked about so many different ideas for Chlo's dream group/company (whatever it ends up being) and being apart of HypoActive has stoked the fire ten fold. Chlo's eyes were lit up the entire weekend. I could see her little engine working all weekend, compiling information, asking questions, proding for answers and learning more about how other Type 1's manage diabetes. I could see her mentally laying down the ground work for ConnectedinMotion.
It was amazing to be completely surrounded by Type 1's and essentially become one myself. For the entire weekend there were many comments made surrounding my working pancreas and I was more than happy to offer insight as to how I keep my levels between the target of 4 and 7. All weekend there was a bit of a contest to see who could register a 5.5 (a perfect blood sugar of sorts) and wouldn't you know it, on my second test (yes, I tested my blood sugar before and after every ride) I posted a 5.5!
Joking aside, this weekend embodied Chlo's journey downunder...to make connections and work on the collecting information as to how to go about setting up a diabetic group back home. The weekend was a complete success. Stayed tuned, Chlo is working on a few blogs with more information on the weekend!

Your levels are great and your support even greater.
Sounds as though you enjoyed this as much as Chloe.
