Even for those who are not the slightest bit camping inclined, you can probably tell that this is not a good thing.
The ingenuity displayed by Mr. Vance was overcome by the poles' will to become two separate pieces of metal.
This may or may not have been the outcome of a hasty tent set up, at dusk, as a home needed to be made, dinner cooked and gear organized.
Regardless, Rob has fixed the problem once again - this time with tape, and portions of other poles borrowed from others. Another "what would pop do" kind of moment.
